THE KLA SCHOOLS DAYCARE FRANCHISE PROCESS
Finding franchisees that have a strong passion for the field of Early Childhood Education while also meeting our franchise qualifications is very important to us.
If you are interested in becoming a KLA franchisee or finding out more information about the franchising process, please be sure to follow these steps:
1. Preliminary Contact and Franchise Application
The first thing any potential franchisee does to show interest in how to start a play school franchise with KLA is to make preliminary contact with us, either by clicking here or by contacting us directly at 305-614-4930.
We’ll schedule an initial phone or Skype conversation to provide you with more details about our opportunity and answer any questions you might have. This initial conversation is important because it allows us to get to know each other and to see if our values and goals align.
After this preliminary conversation, you’ll complete our KLA Franchise Application that we’ll share with our Board members for review and pre-approval. When considering your application, we’ll look at factors such as your location interest, total investment amount, and your experience, say on daycare franchises, other education field experience among other consideration, to decide whether franchising with us is a good idea.
2. Business Development Call
After we receive your completed franchise application we will schedule a business development call where we will delve into your experience and qualifications for running a successful KLA Schools business.
It’s critical that we perform a thorough vetting to choose candidates we feel have the greatest potential to succeed as a KLA Schools franchisee. Of course, this is a two-way process and we want to answer all of your questions so you can feel comfortable that you’re making the right decision for your future.
3. Receiving and Reviewing the Franchise Disclosure Document
The Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) of any franchisor is an important document that outlines in detail who and what the franchise is and what the franchisor/franchisee relationship entails.
Our FDD is no different, and goes over important information, like what your initial and ongoing investment will be, and what our training and support of you looks like. FDDs are lengthy documents, which is why you’ll have two weeks to review ours, and why it’s recommended that you engage the help of a lawyer while doing so.
A thorough reading of our FDD will help you decide whether or not you’d like to become part of the KLA Schools family.
4. Validations Calls
As part of your due diligence you will want to talk to other KLA Schools franchisees. They will be able to share their unbiased opinion of what it’s like to be a KLA Schools franchisee – many will share their financial information to set realistic revenue expectations. They will also talk about the support provided and offer advice to help you in your journey.
This is an invaluable process and required for you to make an informed decision before investing in KLA Schools.
5. Taking Part in Discovery Day
After the validation process you’ll visit our Miami headquarters for a Discovery Day.
During this visit, you’ll be able to get a firsthand look at schools in the South Florida area, meet our KLA franchise team, and learn more about how to start a play school franchise with us.
6. Sign On
If after reading the discovery day, you decide you’d like to continue the process and start your career in education with us, you’ll sign our KLA Franchise Agreement — at which point, you will officially become a KLA Franchisee!
From there, our team members will get to work to find you the perfect school location and start the process of working toward developing your very own KLA Schools location!
